Three members of the famous Chikara Dojo in Spennymoor passed their gradings recently. Amongst other things they were tested for 2 hours on basics, moving basics, kata, self-defence, pad work, stamina, flexibility and sparring.
From the kidโs class, Jacob Starkie achieved his orange belt black stripe.
From the adults, class Shayndel Harper achieved her orange belt and Adam Starkie his blue belt, black stripe.
โI am extremely proud of all of those who took part in this grading and passed, said Chief Instructor, Adam Walker.
โHaving a discipline such as that taught at our club not only helps people become physically stronger, it also helps them to become mentally stronger too. It prepares us for lifeโs knocks and enables us to cope better with the obstacles life throws at us.โ
