As part of this year’s Stockton & Darlington Railway bicentennial celebration, local retailers in Shildon were invited to take part in a window display competition with a railway theme.
The window displays remained in place from the date of the Little Street Cavalcade at the start of August until the actual 200 year celebration weekend of 27 September.
The winner of this special award was Gill Prestedge from All Cyced Up on Church Street.
The trophy was presented by Shildon Mayor, Cllr David Bell who said: “We would like to say a huge well done to Gill for her fantastic display which brightened up the street over the past two months and brought a smile to the face of shoppers and visitors alike.”
