Durham County Council’s Wellbeing Service has a number of activities for adults taking place at the leisure centre, writes Community Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Victoria Lee.
We have Gentle Steps on Tuesdays from 10am until 11am, which is a free activity and refreshments are provided.
On Wednesdays we have walking football. This activity takes place from 1pm until 2pm. All sessions during October will be free. After that it is £3 per session.
On Thursdays we have the wellbeing walk from outside the library, which starts at 10.15am until 11.15am. The walk is free every week and followed by refreshments in the library.
On Fridays, there is Gentle Track Cycle from 12.30 to 1.30pm. Bikes and helmets are provided and it is free every week.
On Fridays, from 2pm until 3pm there’s pay and play short tennis, badminton or table tennis, with equipment provided and again, like the walking football, all sessions during October will be free and £3 thereafter.
