Susan French Events, a North East creative industries training expert, is currently accepting applicants for fully funded training courses that focus on backstage roles in the music, theatre, live events, film, and television industries.
The available courses, which will commence in February, consist of a course in wardrobe, costume and special effects makeup, based in Spennymoor, and a course in music industry crew skills, based in Stanley.
Each course lasts three weeks in total, promising to give participants a chance to learn from real creative industry professionals and establish useful contacts in a notoriously network based working environment.
Individuals who sign up for the courses can expect to learn skills in live sound, lighting, backline, quick changes, design, touring, staging and more.
Susan French Events is passionate about developing North East talent and creating equal access to opportunities in the arts for everyone, regardless of background.
This opportunity comes as a chance for any County Durham resident aged 16-24 who is economically inactive, to gain skills for free that could lead to an exciting new career.
