Free internet training

Local housing provider, Dale & Valley Homes, is one of a number of housing providers across the North East who are helping people build confidence in the online world with its free training programme.

‘Time to get online’ hosts training sessions for people who want to become more digitally included, and thanks to a £5,000 grant, it is now expanding its course remit through the ‘Learn my way’ portal.

Learn my way offers a suite of interactive programs no matter what participants’ level of understanding of the internet.

Vickie Musgrove, Digital Inclusion Co-ordinator, said: “Whether you have only used the internet once or twice, or for only the very basic online searches, our beginners’ courses are great for people who want to improve their knowledge and brush up on their digital skills.

“From ‘Using Email’ to ‘Using the Internet’, courses can be completed at the participant’s convenience with certificates issued after completion.”

For more information about signing up to the scheme call Vickie on 0191 518 5475, email victoria.musgrove@cdhg.co.uk or visit www.timetogetonline.org.uk.
