Liberal Democrat Councillors Dean Ranyard and Beckie Calder are celebrating after the pair got married at the end of last month at St. Paul’s Church in Spennymoor.
The couple, who have been together since 2011, are both members of Spennymoor Town Council with Dean having served as Town Mayor during the 2022/2023 civic year accompanied by Beckie as Mayoress.
The wedding ceremony was conducted by The Reverend Canon Matt Tarling, with the wedding reception taking place afterwards at The Honest Lawyer hotel near Croxdale.
Dean commented, “We were delighted to be married in the heart of the community which we both serve and hold dear. It was a wonderful day and we thank everyone who has sent us well wishes and congratulations.”
