Rain stopped play! So we had to cancel this year’s Firework Display on Friday 3rd November on health and safety grounds. However, the weather improved, and we were able to re-schedule and hold the event for Friday 10th November.
Nearly 1,000 residents turned out for the display and the vast majority said it was the best ever. Richardson Amusements provided a Fairground enjoyed by all, both young and old alike. Food was by Patriot Chilton. The display itself was provided by our regular company Rainbow, and they lit up the sky.
Town Mayor, Cllr Malpas said: “We were so disappointed to have to cancel the original date, but the display on the 10th November was amazing. Thank you to everyone who supported and assisted us in any way.”
