Local community groups are being invited to submit an Expression of Interest for a small donation to help support festive activities taking place this Christmas.
Registered groups can apply for a donation towards the cost of activities or events that will bring members together and help spread some festive cheer within our local community.
Funding could be used to support a range of festive activities, including Christmas parties, community get-togethers, seasonal activities and other celebrations organised for the benefit of the group and its members.
The amount awarded to each successful group will be dependent on the number of applications received and the funding available, and therefore successful applicants may receive less than the application amount.
Local groups wishing to be considered are asked to submit a brief Expression of Interest, outlining:
- The name of the group
- A short description of the proposed festive activity
- Who the activity will benefit
- The approximate cost of the activity
- The amount of funding being requested, up to a maximum of £500
Expressions of Interest should be submitted by email to council[@]bishopauckland-tc[.]gov[.]uk no later than 26 October 2026.
We would encourage local community groups to get in touch and tell us how a small contribution could help them celebrate the festive season and provide an enjoyable activity for their members.
