Ten student leaders from Ferryhill School, Assistant Headteacher Mr Handley, and the school counsellor, recently travelled to Newcastle to take part in anti-bullying ambassador training.
Organised by the Diana Award, the event explored the effects of bullying on young people and how ambassadors can help and support anyone who thinks they have been bullied.
A spokesperson on behalf of the school said: “The fantastic staff gave us ideas on how we can promote the message in school that bullying is wrong and will not be accepted in our community.
“Our student leaders demonstrated core values of integrity, creativity and excellence throughout the day.
“A big thanks to all those who took part.”
