Ferryhill Town Council would like to say a huge thank you to County Councillor Joe Quinn for contributing monies form his Small Grants Fund via the 4 Together Partnership, to enable the town’s noticeboards to undergo a complete transformation – including the replacement of glass doors with clear polycarbonate sheeting to help reduce the risk of vandalism in the future.
A big thank you also goes to Approach Too for working tirelessly to brighten up the noticeboards, re-lining them with new colourful felt backing and bright designs.
Thank you to Chris Orton, who designed street maps and compiled information relating to local history for inclusion in the boards.
Councillor Quinn said: ‘I am only too pleased to be able to support Ferryhill Town Council in bringing the town’s noticeboards back into full use. I would also like to thank Approach Too and Chris Orton for all their help in transforming the noticeboards, which now look as good as new.’
Representatives from Approach Too said: ‘We really enjoyed improving the town’s noticeboards. This project has brightened up different areas of the town and brought the noticeboards back into use as a source of information for residents of Ferryhill.’
