On Sunday 14th October, Mayor of Ferryhill, Councillor Curtis Bihari braved the shave in support of those suffering from cancer.
As residents will be aware, the Mayor chose to support the Teenage Cancer Trust as one of his chosen charities during his year office. The fantastic amount of £1,073 has been raised so far with some donations still to come in and all proceeds will be split between the cancer charity and the three Ferryhill Resident Associations.
The Mayor said: “This is an excellent cause and one that is very close to my heart. This small act of shaving my head was the least I could do to support the brave people tackling cancer and I am so grateful to all the wonderful people who have supported me and made donations”.
