MP for Bishop Auckland, Helen Goodman, has spoken of the recent expense scandal concerning Cabinet members, dismissing it as ‘absurd.’
In a recent interview, Helen said, “This is just ridiculous, to claim this is some kind of scandal, just absurd. “People surely don’t expect the Prime Minister to work 80 hours as the Prime Minister and then expect him to clean his own house. That is just ridiculous.”
She went on to say, “It just seems very odd to me. In some countries there is real political corruption. There is no real political corruption in this country.”
