Former Town Mayor, Councillor Henry Nicholson, presented the proceeds of his charity appeal to two charities last week.
Heidi Cronin received a cheque on behalf of Help for Heroes, while Maureen Flatman, Ward Manager, and Yvonne Stuart, Ward Sister, of the MARA Unit at Bishop Auckland Hospital also accepted a cheque from Cllr Nicholson. Each charity received £2,300.
