Bishop Auckland Music Society concert – Laurence Perkins (bassoon) with Yoshiko Endo (piano)

Bishop Auckland Music Society’s (BAMS) next concert will be on Friday 2 June at 7.30pm, in Bishop Auckland Methodist Church and will feature Lawrence Perkins on bassoon and Yoshiko Endo on piano.

Laurence Perkins is well known worldwide for his concert work, both as a soloist and in orchestra. He has also led national and international projects promoting the bassoon to young musicians. He is joined by pianist, Yoshiko Endo.

Their concert begins with a sonata by local 18th century composer, Charles Avison, followed by 19th and 20th century works including pieces by Vaughan Williams and Elgar. Arrangements by Perkins himself will also feature.

Tickets will cost £18 on the door but under 18s are free.
