Annual Christmas Fayre & Light Switch On – Ferryhill

Ferryhill Town Council is inviting residents to attend the town’s Annual Christmas Fayre and official Christmas Lights Switch on, which will take place on Friday 24 November.

The Fayre will officially commence at 10am with a Christmas Market in the Market Place Car Park.

The Market will be joined at 4pm by children’s show rides, catering vehicle and festive donkeys.

At 4.15pm, carol singing by children from local primary schools will take place in the Town Hall garden, which will be followed by the official switch on of the Town’s Christmas Lights at 4.30pm.

The honour of switching on the Town’s lights this year will fall to a pupil from Dean Bank Primary & Nursery School.

The event will also include a Santa’s Grotto, free face painting and free children’s entertainment by Mr Windbags, which will take place inside Ferryhill Town Hall from 4.30pm – 6pm.

Thanks were extended to County Councillors Peter Atkinson and Joe Quinn for contributing £600 from their Small Grants Budget via the 4Together Partnership towards the event.
