To date, the amazing group of girls and boys at 2nd Bishop Auckland Beavers have raised over £800 and are still counting their sponsorship money after being inspired to raise funds by Children’s Cancer UK.

The Beavers have walked 26 miles, ridden around a cycle track 26 times, done 26 cartwheels, created towers out of 26 items and swam 26 lengths of a pool.

They also hosted an open evening, inviting the public and other local scouting groups to a craft sale where they held a tombola, raffle and cake stall.

Group leader, Roz Peverall said: “We are also seeking to make full use of the amazing hall we have which can be hired by the public for birthday parties, football, sports groups, and so much more. Kynren recently used it for practice space.”

For enquiries about scouting or the use of their hall, contact 01388 604020 or email info@2ndbishopaucklandscouts.org.uk.
