Denehurst Nursing Home held a sponsored walk last week, which has so far raised £781.50 with more still to collect.
Activities Coordinator, Susan Wayman said: “On behalf of the home I would like to thank: Maureen Tindale; the Hairdressers in Dean Bank; the Greyhound Pub; Town Hall staff; the girls at the Chapel; the Line Dancing girls and the Library girls, as well as my husband and his work colleagues from the Council who sponsored us.
“Thank you also to the residents’ families and friends and our lovely staff for their help and support with our fundraising.
“The funds will be used for trips out and entertainment and treats for the residents.
“Myself and TJ and our lovely residents and management appreciate your support, thank you!”
