The 1st Shildon B.P Cubs attended Shildon’s Armed Forces Day in Hackworth Park on Saturday 24th June.
Parents and volunteers ran a well-supported bric a brac stall, treasure hunt, ‘name the bear’ and a ‘100 square’, raising over £260 towards sending Scouts to Eurocamp.
A parent said: “Thanks to everyone who supported our stall, a real sense of community shines through on days like Armed Forces Day.
“We hope to run more fundraising events soon.”
