Last Saturday, 12 October, saw players, members and supporters of Shildon Railway Cricket Club gather for their Annual Presentation Night.
As usual, the evening was held at Shildon Railway Sports & Social Club (the BR) in Hackworth Road.
The club’s very own Ben Moseby hosted the evening and presented the following awards:
The Jack Watson Clubman for 2024 went to Joe Knowles.
The Robinson / Dargue 1st team top player of 2024 was awarded to Greg Upton.
The John Raw 2nd team top player of 2024 went to Andrew Clegg.
First team top batsman to Greg Upton and 1st team top bowler to Ben Ryan.
Second team top batsman went to Matthew Summerbell and 2nd team top bowler to Andrew Clegg.
The 1st team finished 4th in the North Yorks & South Durham Premier Cricket League Division 2 and were runners-up in the NYSD 100 Competition.
The 2nd team finished 2nd in the Darlington & District Cricket League Division B, thereby winning promotion for the second year running, and consequently will play in the A Division next season.
The trophy winners were congratulated, and all players, supporters and sponsors thanked for their efforts and help throughout the season.
