Friday 27 June saw the judging of the annual gala shop window competition. The theme this year was ‘Boogie Wonderland’. Around a dozen shops took part in the festivities and competition was fierce!
Spennymoor Town Mayor, Cllr Liz Maddison, who had the difficult task of judging the entries, congratulated Clem’s on winning first place, followed closely by Defty’s in second place and the Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust in third place.
The Mayor presented all entrants with a certificate and sweet treats.
