Last weekend’s Messy Church saw a bumper packed event where children, parents and carers came together to partake in a host of Christmas crafts, create and light their homemade Christingles and sing carols.
The group saw the children create angels, a Nativity, colour window films, make jewellery decorations for the tree and build a Christmas Christingle using an orange.
One parent told the Crier: “It’s great for the children to come to this free event.
“Reverend Carol and her team here make us feel so welcome and my kids love doing the crafts and singing.”
Reverend Carol Harris was delighted at the turnout: “We love sharing our church with parents and children,” she said, “and I’m so grateful that we have so many crafty people in our congregation that volunteer their expertise and time to support the afternoon.
“Messy Church is such a great way for families to come to our Christingle event and join us celebrating Jesus at this time of year.”
