Chilton Club recorded their third win in four in the Durham and District Sunday League Division Three when they swept Newton Aycliffe Iron Horse aside by 7-2.
The game started with both teams getting on the ball and a few of feisty challenges.
Chilton opened the scoring through Joseph Gibson but Iron Horse, who were still a threat, made it 1-1 from a good counter attack with Wayne Gough levelling.
However, two quick fire goals from Tyler Marquis, first with a great strike into roof of the net, and then a leaping header at the back post from a debatable corner to take the score to 3-1 at the break.
Chilton continued the momentum with a great strike from Joseph Gibson to make it 4-1.
Then, in what was the goal of the game, Ash Murphy looped an overhead kick beyond the keeper.
Kenzi Binnel then calmly lobbed the keeper to make it 6-1 before Iron Horse pulled one back to make it 6-2, again through Wayne Gough.
But with the last kick of the game, Liam Wynn fired a free kick into the top corner for a final score of 7-2.
The win takes Chilton up to fourth place on goal difference, but level on points with the top three.
Next up is Sedgefield St Edmunds at home in In the Alan Smith Trophy, kicking off at 10.30am.
