Chilton Town Council has launched an Easter Egg Design Competition for the town’s children and young people.
A spokesperson said: “Children and young people from Chilton are invited to participate in an Easter egg drawing competition.
“As eggs are sometimes difficult to get in the shops at the moment, or people would prefer to keep them, please draw a picture of an egg and decorate it how you wish.”
There are three categories: 0-4 years, 5-11 years and 12-16 years.
Once complete, photograph the entry and email it no later than Maundy Thursday, 7th April to: vicky.nelson@chiltondurham-tc.gov.uk.
On the email, make sure to include a parent or guardian’s contact telephone number, the first name of the child or young person and their age.
All entries will be judged by the Town Mayor, Councillor Elizabeth Bruce and winners will be announced on Easter Sunday, 12th April. Prizes as follows for each category:
1st – a £20 One for All Voucher + Easter egg
2nd – a £10 One for All Voucher + Easter egg
All designs will be uploaded to the Town Council website and Facebook pages.
