Would you like an opportunity to look back at the history and heyday of amateur and junior football in this part of County Durham – from Wembley winners to junior football in the mining villages?
Bishop Auckland, Crook, West Auckland and Willington all figure but so do other local Northern League sides, such as Spennymoor United and Tow Law.
The Brancepeth Archive in collaboration with Durham Amateur Football Trust have organised a celebratory exhibition to be held in Brancepeth Castle on two afternoons: Sunday 17 August and Sunday 24 August, 12 noon – 4pm.
Entry and parking is free, but if you enjoy your visit, donations towards the work of the two organisations will be gratefully received!
