We had a hoppy morning last Thursday (9 April) at our Fun & Food SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) session, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Civic Hall, writes Shildon Town Council’s Community Development and Engagement Co-ordinator Charlotte Battison.
Families enjoyed a relaxed and inclusive morning with breakfast, Easter-themed activities/crafts, and a friendly visit from Peter Rabbit. The session was designed to provide a welcoming space where children with SEND and their families could enjoy time together, have fun, and feel supported.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and thank you to Shildon Alive, Locomotion and Durham Move Team for supporting the event.
We hope you all had a lovely time and had a fantastic Easter!
