Autumn garden visit for Marie Curie

The garden at Low Etherley is open on Sunday 8 October.

Readers are invited to support the Bishop Auckland Fundraising Group of Marie Curie which aspires to raise funds to provide end of life care in the Bishop Auckland area.

On Sunday, 8 October from 11am-2pm, the charming garden at 2 Hillside Cottage, Low Etherley, Bishop Auckland will be open to view.

Experience autumn colour in this picturesque half acre mature cottage garden. Grass paths lead past a variety of perennial-planted beds with a wide variety of shrubs, grasses and native trees. Wildlife abounds, attracted by a large imaginatively-planted pond.

There are lots of places to sit and admire the views over Weardale and the surrounding countryside while being entertained by the Roundstone Folk Group.

Visitors will be warmly welcomed – with hot soup and delicious cakes to tempt the taste buds.

Admission is £5 for adults while children go free.
