Auckland Moors United FC U14 Girls recently celebrated success at the end of the football season, finishing top of league 1 in their debut season competing in the Russell Foster Youth League. The Spennymoor based team who play their home games at High Whitworth fields, only lost 2 of 24 matches during their first season and finished 5 points above second placed Velocity Diamonds.
Coach Simon Garrett praised the squad for their performance over the entire season highlighting the commitment made by all players from the first very first game, pushing all the way to the end of the season and also thanked parents for their support over the last 12 months.
Over the summer period, the team will now continue to train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings as they prepare for the coming season in the U15 premier league.
For the 2024/25 season, Auckland Moors United will have teams competing in the following year groups; U9s (Year 4), U10s (Year 5), U11s (Year 6), U12s girls (Year 7) and U15s girls (Year 10).
