
Ferryhill Town Council is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a Party in the Park Family Event at Dean Bank Recreation Park on Sunday 28 June, to mark Armed Forces Day.
The event, which is being organised in association with AH Events Ltd, will be free to attend and will include live performances from a variety of stage acts, including Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists, Soldiers of Swing, and the fantastic Soul Street.
The programme will feature a wide variety of music throughout the day, including rock, pop, ska, swing, and soul, ensuring there is something for everyone.
More details regarding the full stage line-up for the event will be released in the coming weeks.
The event will include a range of attractions for the whole family to enjoy, including crazy golf and a variety of inflatables such as a large assault course, wipeout, and a large slide.
The event will also feature face painters, a craft area with badge and flag making workshops, garden games, a tots’ area, and a range of stalls.
Refreshments will be available throughout the event with catering vehicles and a fully licensed bar supplied by The Ivorson public house in Ferryhill, who will be serving a variety of alcohol. Challenge 25 will apply.
Visitors will be able to relax and enjoy the entertainment from deck chairs positioned in front of the stage, picnic tables located across the event site, or by bringing their own picnic blankets.
A spokesperson for Ferryhill Town Council said: “The town council would like to say a big thank you to its events partner, Scott Hillary from AH Events, for working tirelessly to pull the event together, and to the Ministry of Defence for contributing grant funding towards the Armed Forces Day Party in the Park.
“The town council would also like to thank local companies who have sponsored the event, namely: Supportive SRC Ltd, Livin, The Anderson Group and Catertech.

Parking at the event will be restricted to Blue Badge holders only and security arrangements for the event will be heightened.
Marshalls reserve the right to search all bags.
Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times and only alcohol purchased at the venue can be consumed on site.
