The Archdeacon of Durham, the Venerable Ian Jagger, presented Eileen Bowman with a certificate in Living Theology last week at an awards ceremony in Durham.
Eileen, a committed member of Saint John’s Church in Shildon, has been studying hard over the last year, learning and developing in her faith as she does so. Revd. David, who led the congregation in their applause of Eileen’s achievement on Sunday morning, commented that, “stretching ourselves, and seeking to discover more is part of our call to be fully human.
The church remains committed to inspirational education and it is hoped that others may take opportunity to embark on the courses available.”
