This week – 11 to 17 February – is Random Acts of Kindness Week, and Ferryhill Ambassadors for Community Change have been celebrating.
It’s a week dedicated to kindness and taking those extra, conscious steps to brighten somebody’s days.
Glenys from Approach Too said: “It is about promoting kindness and goodwill. The Ambassadors have been encouraging individuals to perform simple, unexpected acts of kindness to brighten someone’s day and create a ripple effect of positivity.
“It celebrates the power of kindness and compassion.”
As well as doing small acts of kindness with friends and family, the Ambassadors enjoyed sharing positive messages with their community to encourage more harmony and kindness between people, part of which included creating some colourful posters which have been on display in the town’s notice boards.
