Ferryhill Town Council would like to thank everyone who contributed to this year’s Annual Town Meeting. The event held at Ferryhill Town Hall on 7 May included presentations by Leeanne Owens, Town Clerk of Ferryhill Town Council, Deputy Police & Crime Commissioner, Graham Hall and Police Sergeant Craig McGuire, Kath Merrington, Manager of Ferryhill Ladder Centre, Francis Barnish representing Ferryhill PACT, Jo Porritt representing Endeavour Woodcrafts CIC and Lucille Bowling from The Humble Garden CIC.
Mayor of Ferryhill, Councillor Angus Ferguson opened the proceedings, welcoming everyone to the Meeting and thanking them for their attendance, before presenting two cheques, one to each of the Charities that he had chosen to raise money for throughout his term as Mayor (2025-2026). Representatives Lucy Southall and Harry McCabe from Animal Welfare Charity Stray Aid received a cheque for £710 with representatives Claire Black and Sarah Hardman from Little Treasures Autism Charity receiving a cheque for £1,116.
Following the proceedings the Mayor invited everyone to stay and look around the information displays provided by Ferryhill Town Council, Ferryhill PACT and Livin and to chat and exchange ideas for the future.
Mayor, Councillor Ferguson said ‘I would personally like to thank everyone who has been involved in this year’s Annual Town Meeting. The event demonstrates what a fantastic range of community groups and service providers we have available in the Town, all of whom are doing a fantastic job. I am thrilled to have been a part of it’.
