The Humble Garden CIC is thrilled to share some exciting news for the Ferryhill community, writes Lucille Humble.
We have received generous funding from Feverfew Garden Co., enabling us to offer fully funded gardening sessions for women in our Thursday night gardening group.
These sessions take place in our beautiful community garden on the first Thursday of every month from 7pm to 8pm, and they’re a chance to get your hands in the soil, grow something new, and connect with others in a warm, welcoming space.
June’s session is now fully booked, but we are currently taking bookings for July’s session, where we’ll be making herb gardens.
It’s a bring-your-own-pot event — you bring the pot, and we’ll provide the herbs!
Spaces fill quickly, so if you’d like to reserve a spot for July, please email lucillethehumblegardencic@gmail.com to reserve your spot.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just curious to start, everyone is welcome.
We are also looking for community feedback in relation to what events local residents would like to see in the community garden.
Whilst our space is small, we’re sure we can make a large impact with it and benefit the local community.
