Do you have time spare? Shildon Community Bus are currently recruiting for volunteer mini bus drivers.
The Community Bus operates an Accessible Transport Service for the use of charitable organisations and voluntary groups in Shildon and the surrounding areas.
The scheme operates two vehicles, one of which is accessible and has a tail lift. Each vehicle is sixteen seats (not including driver) and seats can be removed to accommodate wheelchair users.
Ideally, they’d like prospective volunteers to have a current MIDAS certificate but training can be provided by their in-house trainer and is free of charge.
