Shildon Community Bus provides regular shopping trips for people living in Shildon, Chilton, Ferryhill, Bishop Auckland, Newton Aycliffe and surrounding villages.
The destination is the shopping area at Tindale Crescent in West Auckland, where the larger supermarkets are situated.
These trips are very popular as passengers are picked up at their door and safely delivered back with their shopping.
The registered charity also provide buses and volunteer drivers for local groups and associations, so that they can enjoy outings and activities.
Their increasing popularity also means that they need more volunteer drivers.
Drivers will be trained and inducted so that they are confident in their role.
