Shildon CentreStage is inviting readers to take part in its next pantomime, ‘Dick Whittington’.
Shildon CentreStage is an adult theatre community group based at the Shildon Civic Hall, and they are looking for adults who would love to join in the fun in putting a panto together.
The group are looking for new members to join their family of cast, crew and great friends for their comedy panto, with plenty of singing, dancing, acting and back stage crew antics.
A spokesperson for the group said, “We are a close group who love to entertain, and love to feel the buzz you get when you know the audience are loving what you do.
“Many of us are from Shildon but we do have members from outside the town as well.
“We are looking for new members who can bring a new dimension to our group and are looking for people who may already have a background in acting, singing or dancing, but we also would love to hear from people who may like to try it for the first time.
“But it’s not just about going on the stage, anyone who can help with the back stage things like costumes, advertising, props etc., are also a very important part of the CentreStage family.”
If you are 18 or over and like the idea of joining the next production, go along to the Shildon Civic Hall on Thursday 19th June at 7.30pm and join the theatrical family.
Dick Whittington will be staged at the Shildon Civic Hall in November 2014.
