The Hoosiers are coming to town

Music fans of all ages looking forward to the 3 day live outdoor BACstage Music & Arts Festival – including PROMS – from Friday 1st July until Sunday 3rd July, will be delighted to hear The Hoosiers are coming to town.

On the Friday the Wild Cats of Kilkenny are the headline band while on the Saturday Martin Stephenson & the Daintees will be playing and nationally-acclaimed band The Hoosiers will take to the stage, performing their hit singles including Goodbye Mr A and Worried about Ray.

There will also be a wonderful line-up of home-grown talent combined with original pop, indie, rock, hip-hop and tribute acts.

On Sunday classical music lovers can bring a picnic and enjoy Proms at the College (originally Proms in the Park at the Bishop’s Palace, Bishop Auckland) featuring the rousing Mowbray 46 piece Orchestra and Soprano.

This year’s event is ticket only, £2 on Friday, £3 on Saturday and £4 on the Sunday (a combined ticket of £7 will also be available). Advanced tickets will soon be available from Client Services at Bishop Auckland College and can also be bought on the day.

Kevin Burns, Bishop Auckland College’s Head of Marketing and School’s Liaison said “Ever since last year’s event people have been asking who will be headlining at this year’s event and we are delighted to announce it is the Wild Cats of Kilkenny and the fabulous Hoosiers. Everyone is looking forward to a rock ‘n’ rolling weekend.”
