If you go down to Trinity Methodist Church in Spennymoor you are in for a Big Surprise.
Two years ago, Trinity was visited by lots of mice from Yorkshire, now they are hosting a Teddy Bears’ Picnic on 18 & 19 July.
Teddies are coming from all over the world and Spennymoor and would love you to come and see them. They will be open for visitors on Saturday 10.00am-4.00pm and on Sunday 1.00pm-3.00pm.
There is to be a bear hunt round the Church, when for £1.00, you can look for a missing bear and take it home. There will also be crafts to take part in, a raffle and some bears to buy.
We are asking visitors to bring along their own picnic, but we are hoping the good people of the Church will make some goodies.
Admission is a voluntary donation, to go to Church Funds.
On Sunday 19 at 4.00pm, you are invited to come to PopCornChurch to enjoy a family-friendly film all about a very famous bear. This is a free event which will include a light tea of jacket potatoes and lots and lots of popcorn. Bring along your favourite Teddy to cuddle during the film.
