Team Chippy — walking (and running) with purpose

The run went from Tudhoe Village through to the Angel of the North, raising money for If U Care Share Foundation.

On December 10, we laced up our running shoes, wrapped up warm, and set off from Tudhoe Village to the Angel of the North, writes David Auston.

This run was about so much more than distance — it was a heartfelt tribute to Chippy, honouring his life and the joy he brought to everyone around him, on what would have been his birthday.

It was also a moment to stand together in compassion, raising awareness around mental health and suicide prevention while supporting If U Care Share, an incredible charity that walks alongside those affected by suicide and reminds us all how vital it is to share what we’re feeling.

Chippy was a friend. A brother. A son. An irreplaceable soul who lit up every room — and one we hold close in our hearts, always.

To anyone who has loved and lost someone to mental health struggles, we carry you with us too. You are not alone.
