Glen Taylor is celebrating the start of his testimonial season at The Brewery Field by giving supporters the chance to win some stunning prizes in an incredible prize draw.
The legendary front man is reflecting on a sensational decade of service to Moors, during which he’s become the Club’s all-time scorer with over 200 goals to his name.
Now fans will have the opportunity to pay tribute to the 35-year-old in a special pre-season friendly against a Stockport County XI at The Brewery Field on Saturday 19th July.
However, the skipper was also keen to mark his 10 years at the Club by giving supporters the chance to win one of a wide selection of fantastic prizes.
“I’m so honoured to have been granted a testimonial here,” explained Taylor.
“I am aware that supporters may want to show their appreciation towards me – but I also wanted to find a way to give something back to them too and that’s where this draw comes in.
“Lots of people and businesses have been extremely generous in the donation of some pretty special prizes up for grabs for everyone who enters.”
Taylor has set up a Crowdfunding page to accept donations and for every £2 you donate, you’ll receive an entry into the draw – for example, a £10 pledge will receive five entries.
The draw will be made on Sunday 10th August with all results published here on the Official Website and across our social media channels and includes football prizes as well as other sports, hospitality and business vouchers such as: Nick Pope signed goalkeeper gloves; two tickets to see Sunderland, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Man Utd, Spennymoor and more; a signed Freddie Flintoff shirt; golf four balls at Wynyard, Ramside and Meamish golf clubs and more.
