Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland is delighted to have been selected as Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club’s Charity of the Year for 2014-15.
Laura Douthwaite, Fundraiser for Butterwick Hospice says, “We are delighted to be working with Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club in the upcoming year. There is such a strong sense of community within the club and this fits perfectly with the ethos within the Hospice.
“The club raised over £750 last year with a 24 hour Pongathon at the Hospice and we are hoping to build on this over the next year.”
Matthew Porter, Chairman of the Club said, “We are glad we are able to further our relationship with Butterwick Hospice, we firmly believe that together we can really help the local community and further aid the hospice and the fantastic work they do.”
The first joint event will be a family fun day at Bishop Barrington School on Sunday 18th May with table tennis, competitions and face painting.
