Durham County Council’s Woodhouse Close Leisure Complex is inviting you to Swim a Song with your child this spring.
Designed to be an alternative, fun, innovative and effective programme, Swim a Song introduces adults with young children, aged from newborn to four years, to the world of aquatics, encouraging them to enjoy the water through music and movement.
The programme, which is fully supported and endorsed by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), will see your child work towards the successful completion and attainment of the Kellogg’s ASA Swim a Song awards.
Senior sports and physical activity development officer at Durham County Council, George Richardson, said: “This is a fun introduction to swimming and aquatics for very young children, encouraging them to become more confident and familiar with being in the water. Not only is it fun for the children, but it can also be enjoyed by the older members of the family too.”
Beginning on Wednesday, 16th May at 1pm, the two half-hour sessions will run until the summer holidays.
Each session will cost just £2.10 and those who complete the full block will receive a Swim a Song pack, worth £20, for the discounted price of £8.10.
