It was another brilliant performance from St Mary’s Aces in their most recent match, when they were away to Spraire Lads & Lasses in the League Cup, although the result doesn’t show it.
Excellent passing from Ben Conner, extreme work rate from Tyler Jackman and some good goal-keeping from Cameron Bass (man-of-the-match) kept the tempo up.
A penalty that should have been given may have changed the game into the Bishop team’s favour. There was some good shooting from Ryan Byrne, but he was unfortunate to not get onto the score sheet.
In the friendly match the team lost 6-3, with a hat-trick for Dylan Howe.Declan Trotter was handed man-of-the-match.
It was probably the biggest game of the league season for two of the teams, when both St Mary’s Under 9s went head-to-head; Kings Vs Aces.
An absolutely charismatic and all-round great performance by the Aces, despite losing 4-1. They showed great movement and passing from all the players, in particular Dylan Howe who got on the score sheet, Ben Conner and Ryan Byrne.
The friendly was a much better game for the Aces with better movement and passing than the league game, which resulted in a 2-1 win over the Kings, with both goals coming from Ryan Byrne. The first one was a great through-ball from Dylan Howe, followed by a great strike for his second.
Man-of-the-match for the Aces went to Dylan Howe for the league match, and to Ryan Byrne for the friendly.
