This Christmas, Shildon Town Council is hosting a Christmas Dinner at the Civic Hall on the 9 December, bringing warmth, friendship, and festive cheer to those who need it most.
In partnership with Jubilee Fields Community Centre and Shildon Alive, we’re working closely with local social prescribers to identify people in our community who are most in need of support this festive season. Together, we’ll be providing a free special day for 50 people who may be lonely, isolated, or experiencing financial hardship.
A huge thank you to:
Livin – for granting £500 towards the meals.
Ex-mayor Cllr Shirley Quinn – for donating £500 from her Mayor’s Charity.
Jake Pearson, Shildon AFC CIC Community Manager – for donating £50 and creating a hamper Shildon Football Club.
Local businesses, including Forget Me Not Flower Designers and Flower School and Smith Roddam Solicitors for their generous support.
Local organisations, including Groundwork’s, Wellbeing for Life and Quinn’s Retreat.
If you’d like to help spread some festive cheer, donations of items for hampers would be greatly appreciated.
Please contact Shildon Town Council, Jubilee Fields Community Centre, or Shildon Alive if you’re able to contribute.
Let’s come together to celebrate community, kindness, and the true spirit of Christmas!
