The next Spennymoor Veterans Breakfast Club meet up will take place in Wetherspoons on Saturday 22 November at 11:00. All veterans are welcome to attend.
Local British Army veteran, Paul Ramparsad, is continuing his work with the Veterans Shoebox Christmas Appeal this year, for veterans who are residents of the sheltered accommodation at St. Peter’s Court in Sacriston. Veterans who have filled a shoebox can bring it to the breakfast club.
If anyone would like to participate in the Veterans Christmas Shoebox Appeal, they can drop it off at the breakfast club between 11am and 12 noon on 22 November.
The types of items requested are toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, deodorant, face wipes, hat, scarf, gloves, socks, belt, waterproofs, packet soups, drink sachets, sweets, chocolate, biscuits, ring pulled tin food, cutlery, mug, flask, torch, mate pad and pen.
