The judging of Shildon Town Council’s Sid Chaplin Short Story Competition for 2014 has taken place.
Shildon’s Rebecca Henderson scooped the prize for Junior Winner and Best Entry from Shildon with her short story Masked.
Other winners were as follows;
First – Standing Still by Mr J J Berry, Newton Aycliffe.
Second – Mr Singh’s Song by Pam Brown, Hebburn.
Third – A Place in the Sun by Margaret Shelly, Carshalton.
Highly Commended – Bellbirds and Magpies by Tamara Jones Clun, Shropshire.
Commended – Tommy by George Bloomfield, South Shields.
