Shildon’s senior members were out running last weekend in several parkruns throughout the area.
John Gray and Emma Flynn decided to move on down the road and run at Darlington South Park, finishing in times of 31.51 and 33.41.
Pat Edwards also sampled the parklife and completed the two lap course at Hardwick Park in Sedgefield, finishing in a time of 30.54. Also down in the park at Shildon’s Hackworth parkrun Lizz Wood was the first club member to cross the line in a time of 21.31 followed by Dave Beadle, 22.32, Shannon Ross, 26.04 and in her 50th parkrun Hazel Johnson in a time of 27.32.
Sunday 2nd November saw Stacey Jones compete in the 5k Sunderland Poppy Run, finishing in a time of 25.01.
In an effort to improve her stamina for future cross country events, Pat Edwards was out again, this time competing in the first event in the 2014/2015 Stockton Trail race series at Wynyard Woodland park.
Eddie Murphy made the trek down to Ripley Castle to complete the Guy Fawkes 10 mile and burned up the course like a firework to come home in a time of 78.13.
