“Whether you need to learn new digital skills, complete government forms, or even work on a business, this is a welcome addition to Shildon and will make a real difference for residents”

Paula Nelson Shildon Alive centre manager told the Crier the digital hub will be a central access and a step forward for the community.

“The team has worked hard to get these much needed resources for families in Shildon to come in and use,” she said, adding, “We have already identified how digital support can help families trying to access benefits, train for jobs, access NHS appointments and fill in forms and now with these new facilities we can provide a fuller service for our community.

“We are also looking forward to our youth being able to document and edit our activities, showcase their volunteering in our garden and in the community and getting our message out there of what Shildon Alive can do to help our families in Shildon.”
