Wednesday, 3rd July saw the first Sunnydale Community College Arts Exhibition, which included an excellent selection of artwork produced by the GCSE students from Sunnydale Community College, along with artwork from Timothy Hackworth, St. John’s and Thornhill Primary Schools.
Town Mayor, Councillor Peter Quinn, Hays Travel Manager, Rachel Griffiths and Deputy Manager, Gemma Richardson were in attendance to present gift vouchers to artwork winners from the primary schools.
The afternoon was also an opportunity for parents and members of the public to view the exhibition, which was hailed as a huge success by the organisers. Plans are in place to repeat the event next year.
“A huge thank you to everyone who displayed artwork and parents and members of the public who supported the exhibition,” said a spokesperson.
The event was sponsored by Hays Travel, Shildon and supported by Sunnydale Community College and Shildon Town Council.
