On Friday 25 November, Ferryhill Station Primary School pupil, Sam Sheppard switched on the towns Christmas lights.
An attendee of the event said, “It was a great night, with lots to do for the children.
“We had a chance to visit the Christmas Fayre beforehand and the children enjoyed the donkey rides, face painting and of course, seeing Santa.”
