The Shildon Pool League has just ended with the Royal George B team taking the league title for the 2nd year running.
The Institute were runners-up, also for the 2nd year.
The captain’s winner was C. Brass from George B. The player of the year, with the most wins, was M. Parsley from the Institute.
The best player from each team was B. Wilkinson; The Locomotive, J. Gash; Old Shildon Club, I North & P. Aldworth; Elm Road Club, C. Spray, George A and R. Turner; Three Tuns.
The team knock-out winners were The Institute with the Three Tuns runners-up.
Doubles winners: S. Rutherford & I French, George B, runners up S. Bone & J. Dinning, Institute.
Singles winner S. Bone, Institute, runner-up W. Whitfield, George A.
The presentation night for the league is taking place on Friday 6th March at the Institute, with entertainment by The Hudson Sisters and Roger’s Disco. Everyone is welcome.
The Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 9th March from 8pm at the Institute. All teams who wish to enter the league should go along.
